Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Fall has flown by us with activities. Carson is the birthday party expert, he has been to bowling, jumping on inflatables, indoor jungle gym & McDonalds parties within the last month and then throw in the celebrations at school -- Whew! Carson's class has had a lot of activities with the Pumpkin Patch, Cotton Picking, Nursery Rhyme day & earning their turkey feathers.

Cassidy had her 4th grade play, "How Does Your Garden Grow" & she was a dancing flower. She has been busy working on projects for school & studying for tests. She got her ears pierced in September & cut her hair for Locks for Love last week, lots of changes!

They got out of school on Friday, for Thanksgiving Break and go back December 1st. We are all looking forward to some relaxing days before our crazy December gets going, more on that later!

Saturday's in the South

Saturdays in the South usually revolve around college football and mostly SEC football. This month we went to the Alabama VS Tulane game the first weekend in September. The second weekend Randy & Cassidy attended the MS State VS Auburn game in Starkville . Last weekend we took a trip to Kentucky for the Ryder Cup(golf does exist in the fall it just comes in 2nd) so we had to stay home and relax this weekend and rest our voices. Besides there were so many good football games on we had to stay home and watch them! I have attached some pictures from Tuscaloosa and our Kentucky trip. I wish I could have taken my camera to the Ryder Cup but they only allow cameras on the practice round days. Oh well ~ Enjoy what I have!

1st Day of School!!!!!

The kids started school 8/14/08, Carson in 5K and Cassidy in 4th grade. We have had a very busy summer with lots of swimming, golf, tennis, baseball & softball. Randy & I, unfortunately, got a little older also.

Carson also had his tonsils out on 8/8/08 and got to eat lots of ice cream and popsicles for the first couple of days. He has done great and hopes to get back in the pool this weekend.

Summer Time

We are off and running!

Sorry it has taken me so long to update, golf, tennis, softball and teeball are keeping us busy and my late night blogging has been put aside to keep up with laundry and cleaning the kitchen. We started the summer with Junior Golf Camp and had 38 kids (our biggest one yet) for 4 days. The next week Cassidy played in a golf tournament in Columbus, MS. She finished in second, 2 shots behind the winner. From that tournament, we drove on to Atlanta to visit Todd & Rachelle and see Danny & Traci's boys (Cameron, Aaron & Braedon) play baseball. Since we have been back in Greenwood, we have spent several nights at the ball park watching Cassidy & Carson play ball. I'll update with some more pictures in a couple of days.

Cassidy got her braces off 5/7/08. Her teeth look good and now we just pray that when we lose the rest of the baby teeth the permanents come in straight!

End of the Year Party

Carson had his end of the school year party today. He has one week of school left but with all the other happenings today was the best day for the party. They all had a great time riding the ponies and jumping on the inflatable slides. Randy took his high school team to the MPSA AAA state tournament today and they finished up with a 5th place finish. This team consists of juniors, sophomores and an eight grader so we hope to be back there next year also. He had one individual qualify fot the MPSA Overall Tournament next week and then we move in to summer junior golf!

Happy Birthday Carson!!!!!

Carson turned 5!!!! We had a crazy weekend before his birthday. I went in to the doctor's office, Friday AM for some pain in the lower abdominal area and ended up in the ER and then in surgery for appendectomy. Luckily, I got Carson's cake ordered before all that happened. I was able to come home Sunday Am so we were still able to have our party with Grandpa and Miss Jenny who had come up Friday afternoon to celebrate the weekend with us.
We had a CARS birthday and as you can tell with some of the pictures, we enjoyed the frosting.

Springtime Snow

Hey Everyone! Welcome to our Blog! Miss Jenny's daughter-in-law, Lauren has a blog and was telling me over spring break a little about her blog, so I checked it out and I thought it was pretty cool. I thought this would be a great way to connect with all of our friends and family that are spread all over. This picture was taken on March 7th, we ended up getting about an inch that night and I should have taken some pictures Saturday morning but I was too busy trying to get packed for our trip to New Orleans and Fairhope for Spring Break. The kids had a ball playing in the flakes and trying to make snowballs even with the little bit of snow we got. I think this was the first time Carson ever saw snow, I know Cassidy experienced one our first year in AL but that was 6 years ago already. We had a great time during Spring Break! We went to New Orleans for a couple of days to visit with Uncle Jamey, eat beignets, catch beads and to go to the Audubon Zoo. We then traveled to Fairhope to visit Grandpa, Miss Jenny & Uncle Bob. We also were able to visit and play with Mary Fuller, Brooks & Lauren. Unfortunately our time was limited and we had to get back to help Randy get ready for our Spring Kick-off Tournament.
